Lord Worf

Facebook post from 4 years ago:

“This morning [my 4 year old son]comes to me looking deeply sad and disappointed. He tells me ‘It didn’t work.’ I ask what and he says ‘You prayed last night God would make me feel better.’ He thinks for a second and then says ‘But, it’s okay, Mommy, I know that Worf still loves me.’ It took me a few seconds to realize he was trying to say ‘Lord’ and was not referring to the Klingon.LOL”

About Quixie

Hi! I go by "Quixie." My nickname comes from the term I began using to describe myself when I began blogging nearly 4 years ago: "quixotic," meaning "exceedingly idealistic; unrealistic and impractical." My exploration of my "quixotic faith" led to my deconversion from evangelical Christianity. I am now an agnostic atheist: I do not hold a belief in the existence of deities though I do not hold this position as a FACT. Rather than a hardcore atheist I operate from a place of skepticism and rationality and humbly admit there are just things that we cannot, and may never, know.
