My float spa today was canceled

A mechanical error. But they said I could do a double float on the 2nd for FREE!

This means after the double float I’ll still have THREE floats saved up and an ADDITIONAL one on the 10th! So bummer about today, but it will benefit me in the next few weeks.

Floating in a sensory deprivation pod on a massive amount of Epsom salt for an hour or more is just as effective, if not more, than medication. I’m not joking.

If I could do that once a week (it’s expensive so I can’t), smoke a little pot every day (if it were legal where I live), have close friends I hang out with, get daily vigorous exercise, have something meaningful to do with my time, drink lots of water, and eat a high-vegetable good-fat diet, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t need therapy or meds. Or maybe I’m just being silly.

About Quixie

Hi! I go by "Quixie." Quixie is a shortened version of "quixotic," which means: "exceedingly idealistic; unrealistic and impractical." It's how I described my evangelical Christian faith when I started blogging 7 years ago. Now I'm an agnostic atheist who is trying to find a balance between idealism and reality. I write about my mental health journey with bipolar disorder, my loss of faith (deconversion), parenting teens, reading, exercise/health, work-life, and my marriage separation/divorce.
