Two posts a day

I’ve scheduled posts for the next few days, sharing some previously written posts leading up to my deconversion. This has been good for me, as it’s given me something to focus on today so far.

In addition to these scheduled posts, I hope to be able to write a new post every day, so you’ll likely be getting 2 posts a day for the next few days. Please comment (I love comments) if you so desire, but patience is appreciated as it may take a couple days to reply. I promise I will reply, though. Thanks, friends.

As for today, I plan on showering, changing into clean clothes, maybe doing some laundry and taking my children out to buy new books for their favorite book series. My therapist told me I need to keep busy. She says blogging counts, internet research counts, chatting with others counts, and of course anything that involves self-care. She just doesn’t want me being passive and ruminating about the things I can’t control in my life.

So I’m going to try. 🙂

About Quixie

Hi! I go by "Quixie." Quixie is a shortened version of "quixotic," which means: "exceedingly idealistic; unrealistic and impractical." It's how I described my evangelical Christian faith when I started blogging 7 years ago. Now I'm an agnostic atheist who is trying to find a balance between idealism and reality. I write about my mental health journey with bipolar disorder, my loss of faith (deconversion), parenting teens, reading, exercise/health, work-life, and my marriage separation/divorce.
