Noon walk

Happy Labor Day! I hope your day is going/has gone well. I’m just chillin’ waiting for my laundry to be washed before I move it over to the dryer. Exciting stuff. In a couple hours I’ll be taking my kids over to their grandparents’ to swim.

Today’s walk was at noon. It was 80f (~27c), sunny and breezy. Since I typically walk at sunrise I don’t usually get to see the pretty colors of the flowers on the trees. Today I also got the pleasant surprise of watching dozens of dragonflies cross my path, as well as watch turtles swimming in the pond. Lovely.

Here are the pics from today’s walk:

Since starting the post earlier today, lots of stuff has gone on at home and I’m feeling exhausted. So I’m going to end this here.

’til next time!

About Quixie

Hi! I go by "Quixie." Quixie is a shortened version of "quixotic," which means: "exceedingly idealistic; unrealistic and impractical." It's how I described my evangelical Christian faith when I started blogging 5 years ago. Now I'm an agnostic atheist who is trying to find a balance between idealism and reality. I write primarily about my mental health journey (I have bipolar disorder), and I also discuss my deconversion, mindfulness, exercise, music, reading, and other cultural topics.
