I’ve been interested in personalities again. Let me start by telling you my personality type: I’m an INFP 4w5.
The Romantic/Idealist/Healer/Individualist. The INFP comes from Myers Briggs. The 4 wing 5 is from Enneagram. Enneagrams are a bit different and don’t necessarily correspond to MBTI.

The following famous people and characters share my shame exact personality type (INFP 4w5):
Musicians: Kurt Cobain, Fiona Apple, Florence Welch, Peter Gabriel, Joni Mitchell, Goyte, Paul Simon, Dolores O’Riordan (The Cranberries).
Actors: Johnny Depp, Robert Pattison, Joaquin Pheonix, Heath Ledger, Winona Ryder, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Ben Stiller, Christina Ricci, David Duchovny
Fictional Characters: Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Sadness (Inside Out), Number Seven (The Umbrella Academy), Holden Caulfield (Catcher in the Rye)
Authors: Albert Camus, Hans Christian Anderson, Sylvia Plath, JD Salinger, Haruki Murakami, Virginia Woolfe, Edgar Allen Poe, Lucy Maud Montgomery, Ray Bradbury, Herman Melville, William Faulkner
I want to preface my opinions by saying: every personality has really awesome traits and I can be friends with people of any personality, but I tend to connect with more than others. It just sometimes takes me a little while to get over the stereotypes.

Here are my honest options on the types:
INTJ – They are incredibly intriguing and brilliant, however, they are often not in touch with their own emotions, and not everything is a puzzle to be solved.
INTP – They are endearingly shy and nerdy and intelligent, however, they can be lost in their own heads and bore me with their focus on math and scientific theory.
ENTJ – They are very charismatic and get me out of my own head, however, they are often also too confident, ambitious, and ruthless.
ENTP – I find them the funniest, brilliant, and clever, but they are too argumentative and can be insensitive.
INFJ – They are so insightful it’s scary and intimidating, makes me feel a strong emotional connection with them, and they can make me feel like I’ve been punched in the gut with emotion.
INFP – My own type, they are lovable, quirky, and creative but they can also be self-absorbed and depressive.
ENFJ – They are charming, bring the group together, and inspire others, however, they can be overbearing and intrusive.
ENFP – This is the type I most admire and want to be like, me but outgoing (my Quixie self), fun, creative, in touch with emotions, energetic, people-loving, however, they can be a bit zany and “out there.”
ISTJ – Their consistency and stability are admirable and needed in my life and they can be surprisingly funny with a hidden rebellious streak, but they can be too stubborn and overly practical.
ISFJ – They are loving and make me feel listened to and cared for. They can also care too much about fitting in and being liked.
ESTJ – I admire them for not getting bogged down with emotions and I need them to take the lead and make decisions when I cannot, however they can be a bit pushy and impatient with me.
ESFJ – They are loyal and tenderhearted and good at thinking about and taking care of the group needs, however, they care too much about group harmony and less about the individual.
ISTP – They are so cool (as in, I want to be like them), push me out of my comfort zone, and are adventurous but they can also think they are too cool and smarter than others.
ISFP – They are beautiful, bold, and sensitive. They can also be too emotional and into woo.
ESTP – This type is least like me. They are extremely confident in their own abilities and want to take risks and push themselves to the top. They can be manipulative.
ESFP – They are fun, unique, and entertaining, I also find them somewhat shallow at times.
What do you think? Are these fair assessments? What personality are you?
Never done the Meyers-Briggs, not sure I hold with it. My answers to those sorts of questions tend to change with my mood, anyway. My husband was taking a look at the Kolbe index some years back. It’s more about how you tackle tasks and challenges. I score high in red and blue there.
The four categories are:
Red: Fact Finder – someone who wants to gather as much information as possible before making decisions or beginning a task.
Blue: Follow-thru – strong on following existing systems, and setting up systems for dealing with tasks.
Green: Quick Start – plunge right in! Don’t wait around for all the info, you’ll figure it out as you go.
Yellow: Implementor – tinker with things. Build stuff. Make tools.
Being really low in a category isn’t bad, it’s just identifying that you are more comfortable with working in the opposite way from someone who scores really high.

Interesting! I’ll have to check that one out.

I took the test. Interesting! I got highest in Green by a fraction, followed closely by Red. Pretty low in Blue, average in Yellow. They also have a relationship test, which shows what you want in a partner and my results were surprising to me. Strong preference for a partner high in Yellow, apparently. I’ll post the results on my blog at some point.
